Yes, there is another men’s barbershop chorus in town!  It’s been a well-kept secret and we’re called the Northern Stars Chorus.  We’ve been a chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS) for longer than 20 years and entertaining audiences for most of that time.

We sing a variety of music genres we like and the kind that audiences enjoy hearing.  It’s a balance that keeps us interested in singing. We are grateful that BHS is coming out with new arrangements of more recent songs.  The songs we have grown up with and songs younger people have grown up with are available to us to enjoy singing in the barbershop style.  These new releases are very interesting to discover.

Our rehearsals are a time to enjoy singing and fellowship.  Some of our members read music but it is not a requirement.  Quality learning digital tracks provide members with a quick and easy way to learn songs.

We invite you to join us at our regular session on Tuesday evening.  For visitors, we introduce you to a place next to a member singing the same voice part and we have music binders for you to follow along.  Come back for several weeks and find out what we’re like, why we enjoy singing, and how easy it is to join in our passion.
